Early access#
Getting started#
Follow these steps to join early access and start studying.
-
Download the app
- iOS — install via TestFlight. You need the TestFlight app from the App Store, then accept the Rete beta invite.
- Never used TestFlight before? After you install it from the App Store, return to this page and tap the link again. Opening TestFlight on its own can show a misleading invitation-code screen instead of the Rete beta install prompt.
- Android — Google Play is on internal testing, so you are not added automatically. Contact us with your Google account email and ask to be put on the invite list. After you accept the invite, install Rete from Google Play.

-
Register an account — open the app and create a username, email, and password (or sign in if you already have an account). See Login / Registration for details.

Find a study deck — open the Discover tab, browse or search public decks, import one you want to study, then start reviewing from your deck list.
For product background, see What is Rete. For creating your own deck, see Create your deck and Start studying.
Thank you for trying Rete early. The product is in active development: features ship continuously, some areas are incomplete, and behavior can change as we learn from real study sessions.
This page also sets expectations for early access and explains how you can help.
Professional audio — listen, then speak#
Rete uses the most cutting-edge text-to-speech models to generate professional-sounding audio for your cards — clear, natural pronunciation you can trust, not muffled or robotic clips.
When you review, play the audio, then repeat it out loud. That practice — called vocalization or shadowing — is one of the most effective techniques in language acquisition. By echoing professional speech right after you hear it, you train your ear and mouth together and pick up a more natural, professional accent over time.
If a word translation or audio sounds wrong, open the ⋯ menu on that card and choose Report issue. That sends the problem to the deck author so shared decks stay accurate.
Thank you — and free lifetime membership#
We deeply appreciate you helping evaluate and test the app. Your real study sessions, bug reports, and feedback are what shape Rete.
In return, every early access user is granted lifetime membership.
What early access means#
- Still building. Core flows — decks, facts, cards, and review — work today, but many parts of the product are unfinished or will be redesigned.
- Things will change. Screens, workflows, and defaults may shift. We aim to avoid needless disruption, but breaking changes and rough edges are normal at this stage.
- Bugs and gaps are expected. You may hit errors, missing polish, incomplete translations, or features that look ready but are only partly wired. Please report what you find rather than assuming someone else already did.
- Your feedback matters. Early access works only if we hear what helps learning — and what gets in the way. Specific examples beat vague impressions.
What we are optimizing for#
Rete is built around long-term retention and sustainable daily review, not engagement theater. While the UI and tooling still evolve, that priority stays fixed: make spaced repetition simpler to start, easier to keep up with, and better for shared deck quality over time.
If something feels confusing, slow, or wrong for studying, that is useful signal — not something you should “work around” quietly.
How to give feedback#
The most useful reports include:
- What you were trying to do (e.g. create a deck, import cards, finish a review session)
- What happened (unexpected UI, error message, wrong schedule, missing content)
- What you expected instead
- Context when you can: browser or device, locale, and roughly when it occurred
Send feedback through Contact — email reaches the team directly. Feature ideas, usability friction, content quality issues, and bugs are all welcome.
What you can rely on#
- Lifetime membership for early access accounts — thank you for testing with us.
- Your account, decks, and study progress are meant to persist as the product evolves.
- We treat early access feedback as input to the roadmap, not as a support ticket queue only.
- Documentation in this guide will expand as features stabilize; if a page conflicts with the app, prefer the app and tell us so we can fix the docs.
Thank you for studying with us while the product is still taking shape — your reviews and notes are what turn early access into a tool worth shipping.
